π Order Types: Purchase vs Sale
ποΈ Purchase Order
What does this mean? The author wants to buy goods and specifies their requirements and price.
What can observer change in counter-proposal:
- πΎ Quality Indicators β if you have goods with slightly different characteristics
- π° Price β you can offer a lower price if quality is somewhat different
- βοΈ Volume β if you have less or more goods
- π Delivery Period β if you canβt make the specified terms
π‘ Example: Author wants to buy wheat with moisture up to 14.5%, but you have wheat at 15%. You can offer your goods at a slightly lower price as a counter-proposal.
π·οΈ Sale Order
What does this mean? The author wants to sell goods and specifies the quality they have.
What can observer change in counter-proposal:
- π° Price β you can offer a lower price for trading
- βοΈ Volume β if you want to buy less or more
- β Quality Indicators β doesnβt make sense to change, since the seller already has goods with specific characteristics
β οΈ Logic: The seller already has goods with certain quality indicators. If the quality doesnβt suit you β simply donβt participate in this order. Changing quality in a counter-proposal doesnβt make sense, since the seller cannot change parameters of already existing goods.
π‘ Tips and Possible Errors
Tips:
- β Carefully read all order terms before clicking βBuy Nowβ
- β Use counter-proposal if terms almost fit but need small changes
- β Be realistic in counter-proposals β too low prices or unrealistic terms will be rejected
- β Specify a comment in the counter-proposal to explain your logic to the author
- β Monitor the response timer β if the author doesnβt respond on time, youβll have to create a new proposal
β οΈ Possible Errors:
| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Canβt click βBuy Nowβ | Order inactive or already accepted | Check status, access rights, refresh page |
| Delivery date shows error | Date earlier than today | Select a date no earlier than tomorrow |
| Counter-proposal doesnβt send | Unfilled fields or incorrect data format | Check all fields, make sure price and weight are only numbers |
| Author doesnβt respond to counter-proposal | Response time expired | Create a new proposal or contact directly |
| Donβt understand which parameters to change | Logic unclear | Purchase: change quality; Sale: only price and volume |
